The future of sustainability: Don’t Think Waste, Think Opportunity

In EPS, the circular economy have driven us toward a new design to use recycled plastic for molding entire product lines. Every year on March 18 there is the World Recycling Day, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of recycling and the responsible use of resources.

The World Recycling Day is a moment to reflect on how our choices shaping the health of our planet, the strength of our economies, and the future we leave behind.  Recycling is not only a routine task, is a powerful idea: recyclables are a resource, not waste. Instead of seeing waste as the end of a product’s life, we are invited to see it as the beginning of something new. This year’s theme highlights the economic and creative potential hidden in the materials we discard. When we view waste as an opportunity, we unlock innovation, support new industries and contribute to a greener economy.

Innovation and Creativity in plastic recycling

Recycling fuels innovation. From recycled plastics used across many applications, we are developing new solutions and durable products through advanced injection molding technologies. By integrating high‑quality recycled materials into manufacturing processes, we can create hight performance standards components and reduce environmental impact. This shift not only demonstrates the opportunities of rethink plastic material, but also proves that sustainable materials can drive our industrial innovation.

Circular Economy and durable plastic part

The circular economy and environmental protection have driven us to use recycled plastic materials for molding entire product lines. Recyclates can reduce plastic carbon footprint. We embrace a circular approach that considers the full life cycle of plastics. We address our durable plastic production toward circular economy by redesign and innovation. Furthermore, we increase the use of bio polymers, second life and recycled plastics. We changed our plastics value chain: this is a big challenge that will enable us to achieve a system-wide transformation towards new processes for continuous improvement. In EPS we use second life plastic, primarily obtained from post-industrial streams, and R-PET created by recycling used plastics like bottles and packaging tray. Our goal is drawing a new system in which we keep resources in use for as long as possible because by participating in recycling we contribute to a more sustainable and efficient economic model.

Recycling and environmental impact

Climate change is the defining challenge of our time. Recycling is one of the simplest and most effective ways to reduce carbon emissions. Manufacturing products from recycled materials uses significantly less energy than producing them from raw materials. By recycling, we directly lower the carbon footprint of our products every day. Today recycling is more critical than ever not only for the climate, but also the economy and the environment. Our planet’s natural resources are limited. Recycling helps conserve them by reducing the need for raw material. For these reasons every plastic bottle recycled is one less item polluting and in EPS we shape it in a new R-PET component.

Looking Toward the Future

Recycling is more than a habit, it’s a commitment to the future. It reflects how our belief shaping the future we leave behind.
