During the plastic injection molding process, polymers are melted to be injected into the cavities of a mold to obtain a durable  end  product with good technical and aesthetic quality. Technical choices about  the mold construction, thermoplastic materials and production process have a strong influence on the technical and aesthetic characteristics of the part  and about molding cost effectiveness.

Molding process is  strongly linked to the mold design and construction. Our specialists cooperate since the beginning  about feasibility analysis, working with customer in order to identify the most suitable technologies and technical solutions. Consequently  the quality parameters of each production are a result of an  appropriate configuration  of the mold and of the equipment and injection machineries used in EPS.

Last but not least, injection molding technology creates durable plastic products, a valid alternative to other materials such as those made of metal. Therefore the technology of thermoplastic materials while  guaranteeing excellent results in mechanical and aesthetic performance,  can even succesfully replace other production processes.

The plastic parts made in EPS are the result  of a cooperation between plastic specialists used to work in team to offer consultancy in terms of industrialization of parts and technical and aesthetic performance achievable using different types of polymer.  

On this basis our support to customer begins with the co-design of the mold and the industrialization of the detail and ends with the choice of the most suitable thermoplastic material   for the expected result.Our method offers the needed consultancy for the maximun optimization of product quality and production process for molds built in EPS and for molds used just for molding.

MOLDING, MAINTENANCE AND EXTRAORDINARY WORK ON MOLDS

Mold maintenance is scheduled regularly to keep their functioning optimal and if breakages happens extraordinary interventions are operated promptly to avoid interruptions in long productions. In EPS we cover the whole plastic material processing chain with an internal mold tooling and our own molding department. We use  biomaterials, traditional polymers and innovative technopolymers. All the materials used can be filled with glass fibres, have mineral or mixed fillers. Materials can be radioactive with PTFE, be antiseptic, ant UV or V0.

 Our two departments work in synergy, guaranteeing  to customers maximum service and speed in supply. Our continuity let also  fast interventions of modification in mold if needed.

MOLDING OF FOOD CONTACT PLASTIC

The introduction of  some precise management systems in EPS  characterize  the production of plastic products intended having  contact with food . MOCA -food contact materials-are objects intended to come into contact with food as  it happens in   food  equipment such as coffee machines or food processing machinery. MOCAs  must be produced in accordance  with EU regulations , including good manufacturing practices.  We applie Food Contact processes rules to the entire production chain to guarantee a complete traceability and food compliance of produced parts.

Quality control  of produced parts is performed using innovative technologies. Process control, tests and measurements certify the conformity of the parts to the technical specifications. All qualitative reports and production data of each order guarantee the traceability of batches from raw material to the  finished product. Furthermore, thanks to the use of measuring instruments and specific software, the technical specifications and regulatory documentation requested by customers are managed. 

FINISHING

We  deal with and can offer  a wide range of finishing  with molding.

We support our customers in choosing the most suitable finishing, combining the used polymers, technical and quality checks in order to achieve the requested final result. The whole service is carried on with certifications and supply specifications.
